What if my life was a little bit better, no supervision, living my life as i desired. Just how different would it be from now? Able to make choices without fear, which choices would i make. How different would it be from now? What if i was not saved??? Just how different would it be???
Its so funny how many times we tend to look at how many misfortunes have befallen us without being content about and actually appreciating how far we have come. WHAT IF I WAS NOT SAVED!!?
Its all about going against the current, despite all odds. Who said you had to be Damita Haydon in order to sing or even President Barrack Obama before you can utter the slogan "YES WE CAN"!
You can never be everywhere at the same time. Wishing you may, but that will not last you nor even help you accomplish anything, otherwise beggars would ride. Learning to serve God just as we are, imperfect beings, where we are, with whatever little resources we have been entrusted with is all about going against the current. One does not need to win ksh.1000.000 lottery before you can decide to make a difference in this world. Thats when the term 'humble beginnings' comes into consideration.
Its all about 'having the spirit'. Saying "YES WE CAN" even when deep down you feel beaten down. Being Damita Haydon despite all odds, all this for the glory and honour of His name. Wearing a smile when you are hurting, trusting God.
In total surrender, we should learn to let God have His way, He is able. To beat the odds, He has to fight our battles. Lets learn to be content in whatever situation and putting more effort where we are. Lets learn to look at the blessings and accomplishments rather than our misfortunes and troubles.
